At Jenny’s Sewing Studio my mom use to have this poem posted over her desk and I thought I would share it with you in verse and embroidery. I think the sentiment is great especially in today’s economic times. The techinque to embroider the verse involves multi-hooping. The “Hoop it all” will help you by eliminating the constant rehooping. Just slide the hoop forward to the next hoop center and continue to embroidery the 2nd and 3rd hoop set. I will include the Lord’s prayer demo which is like the “Don’t Quit” poem in technique.
Here is my poem called
”Don’t Quit”
By Leo Piggott
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit—
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit!
Life is queer with its twist and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out,
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow—
You may suceed with another blow.
Often the goal is near then
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown,
Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when your hardest hit—
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.
Note: As you type in a poem for embroidery create each line as a design element so you can edit the spacing or lettering later with ease.

All,
Compucon has advised that it is possible for customers who have the CE-100 or CE-200 to load their software on the Windows 7 ( 32 and 64 bit) operating system.
In order for this to be possible a customer must purchase the 2.5 Upgrade program. Once the 2.5 Upgrade program is loaded, the customer will be able to download and then run the Windows 7 patch found under the CE-150/250 service updates. Without the 2.5 Upgrade the CE-100 and CE-200 are NOT compatible with the Windows 7 Operating system at this time.
Customers who have internet connectivity via the computer that their software is loaded on may access the update via the Futura software once the 2.5 upgrade has been loaded. Click on the “help” icon on the top tool bar, select ” Software Live Update” and then follow the prompts.
Customers who do not have access to internet from their Futura computer can download the update at www.futura-support.com. Click on “Service Updates”, select CE-150, CE-250 updates, and then select the Windows 7 Update. The 2.5 update must be loaded before this patch will work.
Please advise customers that it is important for them to read through and follow the guidelines provided in order for this update to load correctly.

The fact that it is snowing is big news here at Jenny’s Sewing Studio. The fact that we are getting over 6″ is an even bigger deal and a rarity. I am sure a lot of my neighbors to the south and north are having lots of snow too. I am just glad it is not sleeting or raining here.
For more pictures click here!
Enjoy the day and have fun in the snow! It is a perfect day to sit and sew!

I have been learning the BES Lettering and Mongramming software by Brother and I have created a brand new video for you to see how the software works. Brother also has a demonstration of the program and if you click on the link provided you can see both. I will try to add others as time permits.
ESL lettering is a software program from Brother that is priced to give the user a lower priced version of the Brother BES program. I have also included a comparsion chart. See the purchase link to the Brother software here!
Another demonstration I have created is a demonstration of the PE design photo stitch auto digitizing. It is so easy. Make sure you read the blog at Jenny’s Sewing Studio was the latest embroidery news.

Prepare yourself mentally for sewing.
Think about what you are going to do.
Never approach sewing with a sigh or lackadaisically.
